An Easy and Inexpensive Cookbook, A Page and A GIVEAWAY!!

today i am so excited to be sharing for my first time here at Creative Cookbooking! I hope you will take a few minutes and look at all of the lovely projects here if this is your first time stopping by here. this blog is FULL of inspiration!!
I cannot wait to share any longer... so here is some things i have been working on......

this simple recipe book starts with these mailing envelopes. you can find them at any local pharmacy or paper supply store.

first i cut the envelopes so the bottoms measured 5x6 inches. save the tops and i will show you how i am using them on my own blog later this week. i also grabbed a stack of manila envelopes (i have hundreds of these my mother-in-law found for me at a garage sale!!)....

next i cut out several pieces of patterned paper measuring 5x6 inches...

i covered all of the envelopes with the patterned paper pieces i had cut out, then added some finishing touches to the cover page....

next i took the stack of plain tags and punched out a bunch of one inch circles and used a dauber and some craft ink to distress them.....

until i had a stack of recipe tags that look like these....

and here a picture of the finished album, all ready to fill up with our favorite healthy recipes, like this one pictured here. it is our favorite "go-to" salad! check out my BLOG for the recipe. i have been enjoying taking pictures of my own recipes and adaptations of recipes this last year and knew these tags would be the perfect fit for creating recipe cards. and they fit so nicely in the envelopes...

and here is a page i created about that favorite salad as well....

and if you would like to try to recreate these projects for yourself please leave a comment below and you will have a chance to win this BEAUTIFUL Sweet Peach Crop Shop March kit...

isn't it perfect for your creative cookbooking???? and if you want to hope on over to my blog i will have a chance at a give away, too, a set of envelopes and manila tags (undistressed or distressed and cut and ready to go, your choice) to anyone who leaves a comment.

i cannot wait to share more with you and i am SO excited to join the design team here, as i love cooking almost as much as scrapbooking! :)
